Allodial
Free; not holden of any lord or superior; owned without obligation of vassalage or fealty; the opposite of feudal.
Thoughts:
What does apply to? Generally property such as land, housing even cars. How come we cant in Canada or America have allodial property? Instead we own the property rights to a house in a municipality such as a town or a city, but we are not allowed to own the entire property.
Hence why we pay taxes. You don't pay taxes on something that you own.
If someone sold you a car, you pay for the entire car. You wouldn't pay for the "rights" to the car, would operate the car, but be forced to be subject to pay taxes and follow the rules for using the car or else you would have your car taken away.
Why is it the same for property?
